O.K. You deserve the rest of the story! Stan and I went to a restaurant on Park Avenue Sunday night to celebrate our 23rd anniversary, were seated in a romantic corner and five minutes later, Matt Lauer and his guest were seated next to us. We drew Matt's picture, recommended a desert and began to chat. He was a delight, signed our pictures and out of the blue invited Stan and I to be his guest at the filming of the Today show on Tuesday morning. We met the whole crew, Katie Couric, Al Roker, Ann Curry. They were interviewing Patrick Swazy and David McCoullough, the historian, in different segments. It was a gas. The whole lot of them were extremely alive and gracious. We spent two hours during the filming on the set and mingling with the players and their guests. I still can't believe it all happened. Now that's the whole truth. Another miracle in my life!
