We watch television very specifically at our home. Other than 60 Minutes, the first thirty minutes of the Today Show and Dr. Phil, there is Oprah. She hooked me into my first hour of day time TV. I was impressed with her subject matter, her style, honesty and integrity. We are both from Mississippi and I am very proud of her and the positive impact she has made in the world.

When Oprah bought her house in Santa Barbara and began to support one of my favorite charities, I paid my money and went to the first speech she made in support of Girl’s Inc. Here is the photo that was taken with the two of us. How excited and honored I am to have this photo and know that she lives in my city!
