Health-Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual Harmony

The body's natural state is abundant energy, with the ability to assimilate nutrients and eliminate toxins, and to be free of dis-ease and illness.

We create much of our emotional life from the physical feeling of living in our bodies. If one's body is contaminated, one's thoughts and words are charged with negative energy, this results in an unloving, disrespectful attitude toward one's self, fellow workers, friends, family and of life itself. Illness can be caused by such malnutrition and toxicity.

The first step to health is the intent to be healthy. We get nutrition from:

  1. Thoughts--We are what we think as well as what we breathe, drink and eat! Peaceful, kind, and loving thoughts combined with a willingness to forgive contribute to the creation of healthy bodies.
  2. Air--Clean air-without smoke, smog, or other pollutants guards health.
  3. Water--We are 78% water and our bodies need large amounts (4 to 8 glasses a day) of liquid to flush toxins.
  4. Sunlight--We live on light. It creates our food. Ten to twenty minutes a day should be spent in the sun, even in winter (always use sunscreen).
  5. Food--Our bodies work most efficiently on a high fiber, natural diet of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, protein and good fat. Notice how you feel after eating. Keep a food diary and note what foods make you feel the best. Prepare your food with love and thankfulness, eat slowly, and chew your food well.
  6. Human Contact-Loving relationships nurture our good health. Value your friends and family. Stay connected and share your experiences with them.
  7. Exercise--Whether you select an isometric (like yoga or tai chi), an isotonic exercise (such as calisthenics or weight lifting), aerobic exercise or a combination of each, it is important to spend at least 20 to 30 minutes three times a week doing them.
  8. Educate yourself--Science is continuously learning about the benefits of diet and exercise. Be aware, read, study, and experience various diets and exercises until you find the ones that work best for you.

The body is one's temple and should be treated as such with love and thankfulness, with foods chosen to nurture the body rather than the emotions, with consistent grooming, exercise, and care. Good health and radiant energy are natural and possible for all to enjoy.
